Bad Mums Band is an emerging trio of like-minded artists from Meanjin. Fronted by Kiki, a powerhouse frontwoman, Bad Mums uses their medium to move you both physically and emotionally. With influences ranging from Radiohead to Phoebe Bridgers to Violent Soho, their unique sound is bound to take you far, far away from here. With Niko on drums and Jarred on guitar, Bad Mums is a band you're not gonna want to miss.

Niko's passion for the drums started young with their introduction to Guitar Hero on the PlayStation 2, receiving their first real drumkit at age 9. Their love for the instrument only grew and at age 17 they decided to commit the their life to music and move to Meanjin. With drum inspirations ranging from Mario Duplantier to Nate Smith, Niko's sound is an integral part of the Bad Mums experience.

Jarred's been playing guitar for over 10 years and his love for the craft has never ceased since day 1. Growing up in Winton, a small town in the QLD outback, musical opportunities were scarce. Periodically before joining Bad Mums and moving to Meanjin, Jarred was the bassist for a local project in Agnes Water. He takes after incredible artists such as Violent Soho and Unknown Mortal Orchestra whose sound remains a massive influence on Bad Mums' music.

KIKI/KELLY, BASSIST & VOX, SHE/HER
Kiki (or Kelly) has been singing as soon as she could talk. It was only in 2021 that she discovered her interest in the bass guitar and only upon joining Bad Mums did she decide to take her playing seriously. Kiki has always been exceptionally passionate about music, she grew up listening to bands such as Seether, P.O.D, and Radiohead whose songs heavily inspire her own. Her dream is to take her music and her band across the world.
